nanoDESI

Nano-DESI/HRMS analytical platform allows in-depth molecular characterization of very small samples of organic materials  (down to 10 ng) and volumes while maintaining high sensitivity and acquisition of mass spectra at high mass resolution. HPLC-PDA/HRMS platform is used for focused studies of light absorbing environmental organics. Both platforms are used in a variety of environmental research projects relevant to atmospheric aerosol chemistry, aquatic and soil chemistry, MS imaging of biological samples.

Research Applications

Atmospheric Aerosols Chemistry – molecular level characterization of organic aerosols from filed and laboratory studies.

MS imaging of biological samples – accurate spatial profiling and quantification of biomolecules in fully hydrated samples with a spatial resolution of 10-100 microns.

Materials Sciences - providing high sensitivity and high lateral resolution for trace-element imaging and quantification.
