Jeffrey Blanchard

Jeffrey Blanchard is a member of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's User Executive Committee.

For nearly 20 years, Blanchard has taught bioinformatics, genomics and systems biology classes and serves as an editor for mSystems. His climate change research involves testing hypotheses and discovering new organisms and their interactions using EMSL’s proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics and SOM analytical instruments and their computational expertise coupled with the metagenomics, metatranscriptomics and cell-sorted genomics capabilities at JGI. With results in hand, he has given recent talks in support of EMSL at the AGU and ESA annual meetings. He is committed to fostering the development of EMSL's analytical capabilities, computing expertise and excellent scientific staff in their relationships with the larger scientific community.
