The Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) are hiring for a postdoctoral position working on developing and utilizing bleeding-edge matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) and laser ablation electrospray ionization (LAESI) mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) instrumentation and methods. Emphasis will be focused on utilizing EMSL’s multiple high resolution MSI instruments for elucidating complex processes, including soil microbiome interactions and plant cellular biology. The candidate will be responsible for developing and creating unique methodologies that take advantage of the new MSI tools coming online in EMSL. The candidate is expected to participate in advancement and development of the ever-expanding spatial omics suite.

Minimum Pay Range: $69,000/Yr

Maximum Pay Range: $119,100/Yr
