We will use in situ chemical imaging enabled by the microfluidic reactor SALVI to study a NAVY bilgewater emulsion model. Our main objective is to understand the evolving oil-water liquid-liquid interface. Such fundamental understanding is important to formulate new waste water treatment for reducing marine water pollution worldwide.
