The Molecular Observation Network (MONet) Community Science Meeting provides information on MONet proposal calls, instrumentation, and data analysis.

Participants will receive information on instrumentation and the principles for collecting X-ray computed tomography (XCT) and organic matter molecular scale data from soils.

Update on the MONet data model and access gateway
Introduction to X-ray computed tomography
Imaging soil structure to measure soil functions and soil health
Introduction to natural organic matter characterization with ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry
Metabolomic approaches to study response to climate change
Digging deeper with MONet: correlating soil respiration with OM molecular structure across continental US
Session 2: Upcoming MONet user proposal calls: What to expect
MONet team introduces upcoming user proposal calls and proposal call plans.
MONet User Proposals and Permitting Requirements
Session 3: MONet Data Tutorials
Participants will gain familiarity with project data collection and processing, covering soil physical properties, organic matter molecular structure, and biogeochemical data. Additionally, they will be introduced to the user-friendly interactive Shiny App for visualizing the data.
