Forrest M. Hoffman

Forrest M. Hoffman is a member of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's Science and Technology Advisory Committee. Hoffman is also a distinguished computational Earth system scientist and group leader for computational Earth sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
He develops and applies Earth system models to study the global carbon cycle and feedbacks between biogeochemical cycles and the climate system. Hoffman is a joint faculty member in the University of Tennessee’s Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and a American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow.
