Gareth (Gary) Trubl
Gareth (Gary) Trubl is a research scientist and microbiologist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research focuses on meta-omic approaches combined with other tools, such as stable isotope probing, to detect and characterize viruses and virus-microbe interactions in soil ecosystems.
His research interests include:
- Microbial ecology
- Environmental science
- Soil microbiology
- Climate change
He is serving on the EMSL User Executive Committee until October 2025. He represents both the Environmental Transformations and Interactions and Functional and Systems Biology science areas.
