Infrared and CARS Spectroscopy of Cyclopropane

EMSL Project ID
15090

Abstract

Infrared spectra have been obtained using the HR125 FTIR for wavelength ranges between 550 and 3800 cm-1 at the highest resolution allowed by the Doppler width. This wavelength range covers all of the infrared-active fundamental bands as well as many combination/overtone bands. CARS spectra have been taken for both the infrared-inactive nu2 and 2nu14 bands located around 1450 cm-1. Future work, if needed, would include taking higher burden spectra of perturbation allowed infrared-inactive fundamental and weak combination/overtone bands. This would require the ultra-long-pathlength White cell. Data analysis is complete for the nu7, nu10 and nu11 fundamental bands.
