Stable Rb and Cs exchange with natural South Carolina coastal plain soils

EMSL Project ID
47627

Abstract

This work will involve the final analyses in a sequence of stable isotope exchange experiments that are designed to lead to an understanding of the controls on alkali partitioning (exchange, accumulation) in particular clay minerals in clay-rich soils of the coastal plain of the southeastern U.S. These are stable isotope analogs to the behavior of the fission product Cs-137.
