Integrated Capability for Metabolomics and Fluxomics

EMSL Project ID
49552

Abstract

The goal of this project is to develop an integrated cyberinfrastructure that can be used to demonstrate a novel, end-to-end metabolomics and fluxomics use case: Isotopically Non-STationary Metabolic Flux Analysis (INST-MFA) of both NMR- and MS-derived data. Current capabilities are insufficient (e.g., databases for multidimensional NMR and MS data are unavailable; MFA software is limited to homonuclear, Carbon-specific MFA (viz., 13C-MFA); MFA software does not support fitting of metabolic flux variables to combinations of both NMR- and MS-derived data; and, databases and MFA software are not integrated into a cohesive platform.) This project aims to address each of these issues
