TEM and SEM investigation of non-pathogenic bacterial cultures.

Abstract

Trasmission and scanning electron microscopy is a key element in investigations of the morphology and reduction products that occur during exposure of bacteria to various experimental environments simulating soil conditions. The bacteria used, Shewanella oneidensis strain MR-1, is a non-pathogenic gram-negative common soil organism, potentially useful for bioremediation of contaminated soils.
