Profiling protease activities in sorghum under drought stress and recovery

EMSL Project ID
60000

Abstract

We will investigate proteases as signatures of plant drought stress by using in vivo activity-based protein profiling to identify and evaluate the contributions of distinct serine and cysteine proteases implicated in sorghum drought response. This project will use activity-based protein profiling (ABPP) to explore intercellular signaling pathways involving proteases in plant drought response and characterize specific proteases as contributors to drought sensitivity or resilience in bioenergy grasses.
