Interposer Profile Measurements

EMSL Project ID
9792

Abstract

The purpose of this effort is to characterize the heights and shapes of screen printed structures. The structures are fabricated from a commercial RTV elastomer (Dow Corning 6910) via precision screen printing on a Kapton film substrate. The heights determined with the in-house profilometer (Optical Gauging Products) are a function of the metrology strategy. While the profilometer passes tests with height standards, we are in need of a better measurement technique to more accurately profile these surfaces. The Zygo profilometer in the EMSL clean room can easily make the required measurements. The acquired data on our sample will provide us a means to better utilize our in-house resources.
