Mickey Rogers
Linus Pauling Fellow

Mickey Rogers is a 2022 Linus Pauling Distinguished Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Terrestrial-Atmospheric Processes Integrated Research Platform at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory. Mickey is studying biological aerosol, specifically airborne algae including their fragments and entire cells that become aerosolized in our atmosphere. Biological aerosols offer unique insights into atmospheric phenomena such as cloud and ice formation. Investigating airborne algae can also inform on climatic properties such as carbon sequestration. Mickey is a new STEM Ambassador at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and is passionate about translating science into nontechnical language to engage with policymakers and future generations of researchers.
