Nathalie Munoz
Chemist
Nathalie Munoz is a bioanalytical chemist with the Biomolecular Pathways team. Munoz received her PhD from Florida State University. She studied changes in the metabolome of human mesenchymal stem cells when cultured under different environmental conditions, using mass spectrometry coupled to gas chromatography and 13C-labeled tracers to answer questions in her research. Munoz is involved in multiple projects with a focus on synthetic biology, biofuel production, and environmental science. In all of them, she applies mass spectrometry-based metabolomics as the approach to solve interesting biological questions.
