Sarah Burton
Chemist

Dr. Sarah Burton is a chemist with the Terrestrial-Atmosphere Processes team. Her primary role is supporting visiting researchers with experiments using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Burton works on a range of projects, including analysis of soils, proteins, bio-oil products, catalysts, and new materials, all of which require NMR techniques. She has a broad interest in the study of inorganic materials and the effect of inorganic centers on the neighboring material, especially the effect structure has on the function of the material.
