Thomas Wietsma
Earth Scientist
Thomas Wietsma is an earth scientist with the Rhizosphere Function team. His research focuses on multi-scale flow and transport and chemical analysis. He is associated with the Subsurface Flow and Transport Experimental Facility in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL). He is currently responsible for subsurface flow and transport experimental studies from the pore scale in microfluidic devices to meter scale in columns and flow cells. He also manages the analytical support laboratory which includes GC-MS, ICP-MS, TC/TN, elemental analysis CHNS/O and IC.
