Special call for papers related to mineral-organic matter

Guest editors for a special edition of Soil Science Society of America Journal, Earth Scientist Ravi Kukkadapu and post doc Qian Zhao, seek papers focused on exploring the role of minerals in the persistence of soil organic matter under varying environmental changes.

Deadline for submitting papers is June 30, 2021.

Kakkadapu and Zhao welcome submissions that strengthen or challenge the existing conceptual models of soil organic matter stabilization, particularly with a focus on mineral-organic matter associations. Submissions are encouraged to include:

• novel experimental studies coupled to advanced spectroscopic and analytical methods, and/or
• studies with novel modeling approaches.

Interested authors should send a short abstract to Kukkadapu and Zhao before formal submission to Soil Science Society of America Journal. Papers will be published online as soon as they are reviewed and accepted.
