Kalyana Nakshatrala

Kalyana Nakshatrala serves on the User Executive Committee of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory. He is the Carl F. Gauss Professor and Associate Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Houston. His research spans multi-physics modeling and scientific machine learning, applied to problems involving flow and reactive transport in porous media, vascular thermal regulation, and the degradation and healing of multifunctional composite materials. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Engineering Mechanics, the flagship mechanics journal of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
