Field emission SEM of anode supported YSZ fuel cells poisoned by Cr

EMSL Project ID
10001

Abstract

Cr voltatilization from SOFC alloy interconnects causes rapid degradation of SOFC catrhodes. We have purposefully doped cathodes with different Cr-containing compounds (relevant to SOFCs) to establish the Cr distribution throughout the cell after several hundred hours of testing.
