Joint Application of Theory and Experiment to the Chemistry of Environmentally Important Organic Peroxides.

EMSL Project ID
14690

Abstract

We propose to use MSCF computer resources to study the chemistry of two environmentally important peroxides. One is the phenylperoxy radical, and the other is the so-called Criegee intermediate generated by ozonolyis of ethene. Success on these projects would encourage us to undertake a more comprehensive study of the structure and dynamics of environmentally relevant reactive intermediates.
