Structural Analysis of Kinetically Stabilized Core-Shell Nanoparticles

Abstract

We propose to collaborate with PNNL researchers to perform high resolution TEM structural and compositional analysis (EDX, EELS) of new types of core-shell particles (e.g. Pd@Cu and Cu@Pd) to gain a clearer understanding of the structural aspects of these structures and the structural influence on catalytic transformations (e.g. lean NOx and CO tolerant H2 oxidation).
