Depth Profiles of Isotopic Oxygen in Cerium Oxide Catalysts

EMSL Project ID
16110

Abstract

The use of oxygen conducting materials like cerium oxide as supports for deposited metal catalyst system have provided improved properties and performance over non-conducting traditional supports such as alumina. Determining the mechanism and/or quantifying the interaction between catalyst and support would be extremely beneficial in understanding these properties for improved operation and catalyst design. Use of NRA analysis could give unique insights for this specific application and for the catalyst community in general.
