Determination of Structure in the Solution Phase Binding of Lanthanide- Tetraalkyldiamide Complexes

Propose to use NMR to establish the binding mode of a series of malonamides and succinamides with Ln metals in solution. We believe it is important to address an array of factors that may be responsible for changes in the coordinative mode, i.e, ligand substitution, metal size-to-charge ratio, nitrate, and ligand/metal concentrations.
