Microscopic analysis of carbon-based nanomaterials

EMSL Project ID
16990

Abstract

We are synthesizing nanostructured carbon-based materials from different carbohydrate precursors, such as glucose, fructose, and their derivatives. Functional carbon spheres with core-shell structures have been prepared through hydrothermal process. Therefore, microscopic images (SEM and TEM) are required to see their structures. This work is supported by BES project (PI: GJ Exarhos).
