Personal Samplers for Traffic-Related Particle Exposures in NYC

EMSL Project ID
18004

Abstract

The goal is to develop and test air samplers for personal use that are smaller, quieter, "smarter" (see below), and longer-lived (10 to 100 days) than currently available. To be monitored is the dust in the air. The Columbia University collaborators have much experience in field sampling in homes, schools, and personal monitors for people. They will test the units that PNNL and Columbia develop during this project, to make samples that are very practical, and could be applied to actual personal monitoring studies (not part of this project... to be funded separately)
