X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and expert consulting on thermal stabilization of multi-component inorganic oxide matrials.

EMSL Project ID
18420

Abstract

Develop an understanding of the basic solid state chemistry of our oxide formulation and general design principles that can be used to increase thermal stability of such multi-component oxide materials. We want to increase the ability of this catalysis to maintain high surface area and minimize sintering of the Pt catalyst applied to its surface at eleveated temperatures (up to 800C) XPS measurments will be used to determine the causes of any degradation of our catalytic converter.
