Characterization of Novel DNA/Semiconductor Nanoconjugates

EMSL Project ID
18901

Abstract

The proposed study is to develop a controllable methodology by which the inorganic compounds can be evenly grown along the DNA template at molecular level and investigate the impact of various surrounding inorganic compounds on the properties of DNA. The study will hold promise of creating new materials of interesting properties. For the development of such synthesis methodology, it is imperative to characterize the materials by TEM to check if the proposed materials have been synthesized or not.
