Low Temperature Imaging of Metal-Organics

EMSL Project ID
1947

Abstract

Previous work in the laboratory of Professor Hipps has shown that the image contrast of metal-organics depends strongly on the nature of the metal center. Several mechanisms, such as resonant tunneling and charge transfer, can account for this observation. Variable temperature studies along with tunneling spectroscopy measurements will allow for a differentiation of the various mechanisms.
