Solid-State NMR Characterization of Multiphase Ceramics

Initial high-field 47/49Ti and 91Zr static experiments are to be attempted on basic titanates and zirconias, then these techniques will be extended to the characterization of ceramics such as hollandite and zirconolite which comprize Synroc, a multiphase ceramic used for immobilizing high level waste from nuclear fuel reprocessing.
