Solid-State NMR Characterization of Metal Phosphines

EMSL Project ID
2312

Abstract

In this continuing investigation we are interested in the broadline NMR detection of 65Cu in Cu(I)-bis/trisphosphine systems which are utilized in radiopharmaceutical and targeted radiotherapy applications. With the high fields currently available at the EMSL magnetic resonance facility (750 and 800 MHz) there are marked increases in sensitivity and reductions in linewidths from high field studies have made broadline solid-echo experiments quite feasible for these metal centers. We have also been able to disentangle the shielding anisotropy from the contributions of the quadrupole as well as the relative orientations of the two tensors.
