Proposal to use the FS66 FTIR to test an optical switch

EMSL Project ID
2374

Abstract

Our objective is to use the FS66 FTIR to test an optical switch. The switch will be fabricated at the University of Washington. Because the switch is a MEMS device with a small apurture (less than 1mm square) we need a ftir with a microscope to measure its transmission characteristics. In addition, the FS66 can test over a wider frequency range than is commonly available with ftir intruments.
