Abstract

Zirconium is an important transition metal, occupying a fundamental role in the development of high-toughness ceramics and solid oxide fuel cells. The limited 91 Zr solid-state NMR (SSNMR) studies available to date provide quadruplar coupling contants (Cq), asymmetry parameters, and isotropic chemical shifts for select compounds; however, characterization of the chemical shift tensor is lacking.
