Abstract

To demonstrate improvements in real-time recognition of protein sequence changes in intact proteins: a) improved coverage (e.g. using electron capture dissociation (ECD) and/or electron transfer dissociation (ETD) versus collision induced dissociation (CID) and 2) higher resolution analysis (e.g. FTICR or LTQ Orbitrap); allowing the ability to assign charge state (coupled with de-convolution) providing greater confidence and ease of interpretation of MS-MS spectra also improving sequence assignment.
