Automated suspension microarray for microbial community profiling

EMSL Project ID
2509

Abstract

Compare the performance of automated nucleic acid capture using sequential injection microfluidic system compared to identical procedures accomplished in batch reactions. PCR products from metal reducing bacteria will be labeled with a fluorescent dye and captured on 5.6 micron latex microspheres. A temperature controlled rotating rod flow cell and microfluidic system is required. One week of EMSL staff support is requested for programming and troubleshooting of the equipment or procedure.
