Chemical State Image Analysis of Biologically Relevant Patterned Surfaces

EMSL Project ID
2552

Abstract

Static ToF-SIMS imaging enables the spatial analysis of multiple surface species. ToF-SIMS images can be challenging to analyze because of their size, complexity and signal to noise. Images of patterned organic surfaces will be acquired with < 5 micron spatial resolution using a ToF-SIMS with a Ga+ LMIG source. A combination of denoising and multivariate analysis will be applied to reduce user bias and increase the quality and information content of these images.
