3-D Imaging of the photosynthetic bacterium, Rhodobacter sphaeroides

The aim is to obtain a 3-D imaging of Rhodobacter sphaeroides as part of a team effort to make an "electronic cell"
Alice Dohnalkova will obtain electron microscope images of the organism which will then be passed on to Harold Trease (also at EMSL)
who will write algorithms to process the data into 3-D images. These will be used as part of an ongoing collaboration with
Haluk Resat (also at EMSL).
