Changes of surface area of diesel soot as a function of oxidation
EMSL Project ID
3200
Abstract
Soot is unwanted product from diesel engine emission. In order to remove the soot by combustion effectively, information about its characteristics are required. Among those, the changes of surface area as a function of oxidation is interesting. Consecutive temperature programmed oxidation followed by BET measurement is possible in RXM-100 system.
