Characterization Polymer Thin Films and Arrays
EMSL Project ID
3532
Abstract
Our research at Portland State University focuses on surface chemistry and molecular imprinting. One particular area of interest is the fabrication of polymer thin film arrays that possess molecular recognition abilities. Characterization of these thin films requires high-resolution surface analysis instruments that include TOF-SIMS and XPS. We have obtained excellent results using these instruments at EMSL in the past. The current project will be conducted at EMSL in collaboration with Dr. Haifeng Zhang under the technical guidance of Dr. Mark Englehard.
