Particulate Analysis of Bubble Chamber Fluids

EMSL Project ID
48560

Abstract

Bubble chambers are at the forefront in the search to understand the nature of dark matter. The most sensitive bubble chambers are now limited by an unknown background. One hypothesis for this background centers around residual particulates inside the sensitive volume. Various particulate samples have been produced and detailed microscopy is needed to probe this background hypothesis.
