Mechanistic Studies of Hydrogen Addition Reactions

EMSL Project ID
51124

Abstract

This proposal focuses on attaining the mechanistic understanding of catalytic biomass hydrogenation reactions using small oxygenates as models for various functional groups present in biomass molecules. In these studies we will employ the model catalysts ranging from supported single metal atoms and clusters supported on single crystalline oxide surfaces.
