Imaging and Analysis of Root System Architecture with an Automated Non-invasive Phenotyping System

EMSL Project ID
51630

Abstract

We will deploy a Non-invasive Automated Root Imager (NARI) System for the capture and image analysis of root traits to EMSL user community. The NARI system is partially assembled and once completed will provide a medium throughput platform for exploring genetic control of root system architecture (RSA). NARI system was a highlighted capability in the 2021 EMSL Call for proposals. The PI (Ahkami) has been already contacted by several academic faculties interested in using EMSL NARI system after learning about it.
