Characterization of Superconducting Materials for Quantum Devices

EMSL Project ID
61065

Abstract

Characterization of Superconducting Materials for Quantum DevicesAs part of the DOE Office of Science Co-design Center for Quantum Advantage (C2QA), our aims are to characterize superconducting films developed for quantum devices through multiple studies that examine the relationship between topography, stoichiometry, and crystallinity of the film type. Our primary goal is to better understand the role of oxygen (i.e., the development of surface oxides) in quantum device performance.
