Low-Cost, Energy-Efficient Nitrogen Fertilizer 48291 (Amonette IRD, SA 91004, WBS 28INCQ)

Abstract: Our ultimate long-term goal is to develop a new class of nitrogen (N) solid fertilizers.In this project we are conducting the proof-of-principle experiments and thereby provide the data needed to obtain industry support for optimization and commercialization of this process.
In EMSL, we determine the N content and N-release characteristics as a function of time using an NH3-selective electrode. Some use of XPS may also be made to confirm the NH3 measurements.
