Gas Phase Study of Solution Phase Species and Chemistry Using Variable Temperature Photoelectron Spectrometer

Abstract

We propose to investigate solution phase species and chemistry in the gas phase using a recently developed low-temperature photoelectron spectrometer. The subjects include but not limited to, temperature-dependent studies on solvation of complex anions, electronic strcuctures of environmentally important diradical species, and dissolution of salts at solution and interfaces.
