Proteomics of Filamentous Fungi

EMSL Project ID
6515

Abstract

As part of the PNNL Biobased Products Initiative, an LDRD proposal entitled “Proteomics of Filamentous Fungi” was funded. In this proposal we outline a broad research plan across the sprectrum of sequenced filamentous fungi that uses the PNNL global proteomics platform for peptide profiling of secreted proteins, morphology control proteins and organelle and developmental structure “sub-proteomes”. The diversity of species that have been sequenced will allow us to define sets of proteins that are common or unique to various process and structures across the fungal kingdom. These comparative proteomics experiments will establish PNNL as a recognized "center for fungal proteomics".
