LC-MS-based metabolomics for computational toxicology

EMSL Project ID
18423

Abstract

The goal of this project is to assist the Environmental Protection Agency in analyzing samples from a fish-model of environmental exposure. LC-MS-based metabolomics will be utilized to help develop and validate computational models of the affects of toxic insult on living systems. The project will evaluate the effects of several model endocrine disruptors on the GnRH neuronal system of fat-head minnows. LC-OrbiTrap MS and LC-LTQ MS/MS are requested for 1250 hours. Project, 48398, will access the frraction of the capability provided by the non-EMSL purchase of 50% of the orbitrap MS.
