PNNL/Pfizer Project for the Development and Evaluation of Nanoproteomics Approaches

EMSL Project ID
51031

Abstract

PNNL has developed and continues to develop multiple approaches and analytical capabilities for nanoproteomics; to process and analyze via liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) samples on the nano to microscale, e.g. nanoPOTS, microPOTS, and SNaPP. Efforts are also ongoing to couple these capabilities to more advanced ion manipulation MS platforms, i.e. SLIM IM-MS. Furthermore, advanced analytical methodologies such as click chemistry enable activity based and chemical proteomics and phosphoproteomics are also possible depending upon exact conditions and methodologies, and would greatly benefit from extension to nanoscale samples. In this project, PNNL will work with Pfizer to develop, evaluate and implement several approaches for specific nanoscale biological samples as dictated by Pfizer.
