NMR Study of Effects and Mechanisms of Mechanical Activation on Hydrogen Sorption/Desorption of Nanoscale Lithium Nitrides

EMSL Project ID
13499

Abstract

Recently our proposal entitled "Effects and Mechanisms of Mechaincal Activation on Hydroegn Sorption/Desorption of Nanoscale Lithium Nitrides" has won DOE-EE?s "Grand Challenge" Award for Basic and Applied Research in Hydrogen Storage. The funded proposal was a collaborated effort between the University of Connecticut and PNNL with the University of Connecticut as the leading PI. While the focus of the proposal is on material development, PNNL is also responsible for studying the mechanically activated, nanostructural lithium nitrides using advanced analytical methods available at PNNL, including NMR spectroscopy. This User Proposal is, therefore, a direct support to the funded DOE project.
