Interactions Between Proline-Rich Domain of Calnexin and Protein Disulphide Isomerase Erp57

EMSL Project ID
2167

Abstract

The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the site of folding, disulfide bond formation and N-glycosylation of secretory proteins. Erp57, homologous to protein disulfide isomerase, in complex with calnexin, is responsible for correct folding of glycoproteins in ER. We plan to study interactions between Erp57 and calnexin domains by NMR with the objective of explaining the role of individual domains from both proteins in functional complex.
